Furniture
Environmental benefits: furniture recycling schemes help to reduce the amount of household items being needlessly thrown away and ending up in landfill.
How to recycle: the Furniture Reuse Network is the national body which takes unwanted household furniture and items, and passes it onto community groups in the UK. Their website has an interactive map of charities which accept furniture or appliances. If you have furniture or white goods that are beyond reuse, contact your local council to arrange disposal – ask for bulky waste pickup.
